BUBBLING POT COMMITTEE MEETING
Thurs 9th October 2008
Present:- Paul, Gary, Derek, Pam, Carol, June, Sandi and Roz.
Guests:- Michael, Mary, Ralph, Stewart and Kevin.
Apologies:- George and Mark.
Minutes of last meeting read and signed
Matters arising: The Hall for the Ball has been paid for (£130 cheque) a £75 refundable deposit has to be paid by 18th October. Paul will pay this with ticket money that he has collected..
Mary has obtained an alcohol licence (£21)
Tickets going slowly but surely and Stewart & Michael have taken 5 tickets each.
Under 6`s will not pay.
Music:- Music by the band `Johnny No Mates`, George`s Jazz Band, Earth Spirit- (Jeannie & Adam), Alan & Jonathan have been confirmed.
Pam to ring Julian to ask if he would like to take part.
The will also be a PA system.
Tarot: June has confirmed with Carol D to do some Tarot readings.
Face painting by Nikki has also been confirmed by June.
Photographer:- Kevin has suggested £6.50 a print to buy on the night with a Halloween backdrop to pictures. Also, he will take pictures at random through the evening.
Prizes:- It was agreed that there would be 6 main prizes for the raffle
Paul & Roz are making wooden spoon trophies also, Paul has bought prizes for Halloween costumes.
Michael has arranged for a Cinnamon Besom.
A handmade wand donated by Craig
A handmade mirror donated by Alan
A signed CD donated by Damh the Bard
A Halloween gift pack donated by Lush
Other various prizes may be donated.
Swot team:- Men to put out tables & chairs
Women to do the decorating
All to help to clear up, clearing will also be done during the evening.
Michael will sell raffle tickets
Raffle to be called by Pam & Derek at 10.40pm
Paul to will be on patrol of car park during evening, he will also do front door, sound system and stage.
Other:-
Derek has offered to obtain some apples for apple bobbing
Ralph has offered to borrow a coffin for the evening
Gary offered to bring some appropriate CDs
Paul will be at the hall by 5.30 everyone else to be there by 6pm. Ralph will deliver the coffin and stay to help from 5 till 8.30
There will be no party poppers
There will be no alcohol taken off the premises
Last orders at 11pm, drink up until 11.30.
Clearing up will start at 11pm, everyone to help.
YULE BAZAAR (6/12/08)
The Yule Bazaar will be announced at the Ball by the compere (Gary)
Sandi will book the Bancroft Hall from 12 - 5pm
(Carol to speak to Tim Clapton re the refusal for us to use the New Bradwell Hall)
There should be room for 14 stalls
Stall holders already approached are:- Kim & Andrea (Crystals), Gothica(Maggie), Julie & Robert, Kat Gothic ware, Lush, Alan Taylor (Mirrors, etc)
Pam has offered to do the Bubbling Pot Bring & Buy table
Dawn (Yule flower arrangements), Rachel (Crystals & Reiki) and Hilary Crystal healing)
Possible others.
Donations required for Tombola (Carol has offered some dolls).
Paul suggested offering a stall/collection point for a Charity. Suggestions were: Tiggywinkles, the Kennels at Stacy, the Herb Fm at Wolverton (which is part funded by the Christian Foundation) Sandi has offered to phone Michael re this Charity.
Tea and Refreshments stall ran by Carol
Committee to make cakes and supply the refreshments.
Ralph`s & Companies sponsored Cycle ride:-
It was suggested that the ride take place next Spring (April/May time) for 20-25 miles.
Ralph suggested T shirts with the Bubbling Pot logo for the riders, also badges.
The ride will be sponsored either for the whole ride or per mile.
There will be a big publicity campaign, Carol to inform the P.F.
Addresses of Pagans, who else would like to ride.
There will be a big send off and the suggested routes were Redways and Canal tow
Paths or travelling round outskirts of MK, spiralling inwards
A trial run of 2 hours was suggested
Paul to speak to D.I Braithwait regarding legalities.
Land update
It would appear that the land at Hanslope is now not an option.
It has been agreed that the boundaries of any possible land would be approx a 10 mile radius of MK

Ralph has offered to be our Activity Sponsor.
Advertising
It was suggested that a wider area will be covered for advertising our events, etc. Paul also suggested asking the C.O.A. to promote our functions
Also, to approach Pagan celebrities to support our cause and be aware of what we areworking towards. Some celebrities suggested were:- Selena Fox and Ian Mac Beth. Also, Carol offered to get in touch with Lady Ruth from the FFI.

On behalf of the B.P committee June thanked Mark, Ralph, Stewart and Kevin for coming to the meeting and offering their help for which we are very grateful.
Everyone to hold on to their ticket money until the next meeting.
The first Bubbling Pot Project Annual General Meeting will be held on 2nd February 2009. All are welcome. Paul will book a hall.
The next Committee meeting will be Thursday 30th October 2008 at 8pm.
