The Bubbling Pot Committee Meeting
Held at Paul`s on Thurs 17th July 2008
Present: Pam, Derek, June, Sandi, Paul, Gary and Roz
Apologies: Carol.
Finance: Mandate: Due to misplacement of original mandate by the bank a new form was filled in and signed by the Signitaries, the Chairmen and the Secretary.
Paul also completed necessary form for Internet Banking.
Minutes of the last meeting were agreed and signed by Derek and Paul.
Summer Picnic (23/8/08)
Venue: Sandi offered to enquire about the using Linford Manor and Paul will speak to Bryony regarding Willen Maze and Campbell Park and confirm as soon as possible.
The Picnic will be from 12 - 5pm.
It was suggested that the Earth Healing took the form of the Golden Ball method with everyone at the quarter that they relate to.
There will be updated flyers as soon as the venue is confirmed.
Halloween Ball (25/10/08)
The Lakes Estate Hall has been confirmed.
There will be 150 tickets providing the 2nd small hall can also be used. If not there will be 120. The cost is £190 all in with a £75 return for no damage. The fee will need to be paid 2 weeks before the event.
Access will be from 5.45pm for a 7pm start. The bar must close at 11pm with the hall being cleared up and vacated by midnight.
Paul has templates for the tickets and they should be ready for sale as soon as a couple of amendments have been made.
The Bar
Gary and Mary have kindly offered to run the bar for the evening. A good selection of
drinks mainly supplied by Gary including soft drinks for the children. Derek offered to supply some home brewed Mead.
Food will be on a food to share basis (stated on tickets) with a possible Halloween theme. It is estimated that about 20 tablecloths will be needed along with disposable plates and cutlery.
Suggestions for extra activities.
Raffle - It was agreed that we all supply one raffle prize each by donating or approaching a business or a person of our choice to donate a prize.
Pam will buy 4 books of raffle tickets and ask Damh the Bard if he would donate and sign a C.D as a raffle prize.
Fancy dress - there will be 3 costume prizes. Best, worst and naughtiest Witch + childs costume..
Roz has offered to make a best costume trophy & Paul to acquire spooky sweets for children.
The suggestion for worst prize costume is a wooden spoon.
Tarot readers - Dot and Layla have both offered. Suggest £5 a reading to be donated to fund.
Face painting - June offered to ask Nicky if she would do face painting.
Lucky dip - to be arranged.
Music - It was suggested that a band that Paul is in touch with should meet with George to work out a set between them including other musicions.
June offered to speak to the Boran group about also playing.
Miscellaneous - Swot and cleaning teams to be chosen at the next meeting.
There will be buckets of sand outside for cigarette stubs.
Derek and Pam to do raffle.
Evening to be compered by Sandi and Gary.
Yule Bazaar (6/12/08)
Venue - Suggestions to find prices of :- Bradwell Village Hall, Bradwell Abbey, Stony Stratford, Linford Memorial Hall, Church Hall, Stantonbury, York Hs., and Centre Com.
Liability Insurance if open to public approx £30.
Stallholders £10 a pitch + a donation of a gift which will be put aside for future raffle prizes.

Invite George to specific meetings. Ie. Pre-Ball.
Take into account disabled friendly venues.
Advertise an open meeting for Bubbling Pot Project nearer to AGM at Imbolc.
A suggestion box.
Suggestion for the future. Membership fee of £1 for a newsletter, etc.
Paul confirmed new business cards a handstamp on the way.
Suggested venues for meetings - A cheap hall at Peartree Bridge, British Legion Hall at Newport Pagnell, and the Cannon Hall at Newport Pagnell.
The next meeting will be Thurs 11/9/08 (post picnic - pre Ball)
